Now that I've gotten my first ever blog post out of the way I thought that I should post a little bio and let you all know who I am.

I am a Wisconsin Native, born and raised.  The past 2 decades I have been in Public Safety from Ski Patrol at a nearby ski hill to being a Firefighter, AEMT (Advanced EMT), and 911 Dispatcher.  I am an avid boater in the summer months (May-September here in Wisconsin) and love being outdoors.  I have always had a strong interest in traveling and being out on the boats.  I currently own a 24' Cuddy Cabin as well as a 16' Jet Boat (for fun). I'm out on the water every chance that I get.

Recently I saw a quote that said "If you want to be successful in this world, you have to follow your passion, not a paycheck." And that's when I decided to leave the world of Public Safety and pursue my passion of boating / yachting.

This Blog, along with the associated Social Media accounts will document and share my journey through my yachting career.  I will be sharing the good with the bad and also giving product reviews for different items that I use along the way that others might have the same interest in using.  Along with those reviews will also share the multiple ways that I have used the products and how well that product worked for me and fit my needs in that particular situation.  Any companies that wish to create a partnership and have their items tested and reviewed by me can feel free to contact me at matt@wisconnieyachty.com

Error 404: Blog Post Not Found??

Yes, you read that right, Blog Post not found. Rather posts, more specifically, NONE of them. I guess I finally fell into the category of people that should not be allowed to blog, or at least not use an app that is supposed to make all of this easier from my iPad.  Most of my posts are typed late at night, and no one wants to get an alert in the middle of the night that I made another post, so I would always schedule the post to be posted later the following morning at a decent time.  The only catch is that for some reason the year in the scheduler was set to 2020. *Insert Face Palm* That's right, all of my blog posts were typed and scheduled, but not for about another 2 years. I think it would be counterproductive to go and post ALL of them at the same time (even I would get annoyed if someone did that on a social media account that I was following). Wisconics

You've heard the term Ebonics, well here in Wisconsin we have Wisconics.  Everywhere I go people tell me that they can really tell that I have an accent.  While it's not as thick as those from the UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan) or Canada ('eh), it is still distinguishable.  For those of you who are not familiar with how we speak in the midwest, or more specifically in Wisconsin I decided to compile a list of common words and phrases that we use and their meanings.  Hope you all get a good laugh and learn something from this. -You Guys Comin' Wit, Er No?
